Another trip down the aisle

On September 6, 2008 my good friend from college got married! They had a beautiful ceremony at the Jewel Box. Mr. C was slacking on taking pictures with my camera though because I have none from the ceremony. In the limo from the ceremony to the reception, they had both written each other letters and hadn't shared them before the wedding but gave them to each other when we first got in the limo.

We had a wonderful time helping with, participating and celebrating their special day!

How I wanted to tell him

So this was kind of the way I wanted to tell Mr. C that we were expecting!!


But instead it went like this... Mr. C in the living room watching the news before getting ready to go spoonbill fishing, me getting done with my shower after poas before i got in the shower, looking at the test to see it says pregnant!!! I go into the living room and am like honey can you come look at this with me. He looks at it and looks at me and gets the biggest grin in the world! He left and went fishing, I had a hog weigh in for our county fair and that afternoon we were having friends at our house for a clay bird shoot for our good friend's 30th.

When I got to the house around 3ish, everyone there had already been drinking for a few hours. Mr. C and I (okay so more me than Mr. C) had discussed waiting to tell people for a while so we knew we weren't going to mention anything to our friends that day. I pulled off not drinking quite well, noone suspected that my cranberry vodka's were just cranberry juice.

Mr. C & I are both really exicited about this new adventure we are going to experience!

On August 16, 2008 I went from being Miss C. to Mrs. C!
Exchanging the rings.. Funny moment, I put Mr. C's ring on the wrong finger. All of his groomsmen were trying to get his attention so he would move it to the right hand.

We were married at St. Alphonsus church, it is the church that my parents and grandparents are members off and where I was baptised, had first communion & confirmation. As you can kind of tell from the pictures, we have a wonderful crowd. The church was full and we had around 400 people at the reception. We sent out around 550 invitations.

Our wedding party... including Mr. C & I there were 20 people in our party! My 3 sisters, his 2 sisters & sister-n-law, my 3 friends, his brother, my brother, his brother-n-law, my brother-n-law, and his 5 friends.

So we wanted everyone & their spouses/significant others to celebrate with us, so we rented a huge party bus. It could accomodate 32 and we had it full! We had such a blast celebrating and taking pictures with our wedding party.

For our guest book, my aunt put together a scrapbook for us and put pictures around the perimemter of the pages the guests signed. The programs I designed, printed and put together myself. The picture is of Mr. C's mom, him and his brother. It along with a memorial candle was next to our untiy candle during the ceremony and we placed it at the sign it table at the reception.

Our cake was alternating layers of white and chocolate squares with brown ribbon and orange and yellow lillies as the topper.

For our table decorations I had potted plants, some with lillies and some with just potted green plants. I can't recall what plants we used. Then for our favors we handed out wildflower seeds.

These ladies were awesome!!! There were my brides bitches. They are close friends of mine and them helping take stuff from the church to the reception hall and making sure everything was ready at the reception was my way of having them involved since i already had so many bridesmaids. They were so helpful and I have already returned the favor for one of them and can't wait to do it for the other.

Well these were just a few of the highlights. If I would have been blogging before we got married there are so many other details that I am sure that I would share and I am sure there will be future posts reminancing about the day we got married. we are both extrememly lucky that we have found the one person that we want to share life's advetnures with!

Our little piece of country

In 2007 Mr. C and I discoved this piece of ground that his uncle was selling. We fell in love with the property and knew we couldn't pass it up. However I was not ready to build a house because I did not want to make that commitment without having a ring on my finger. So we negotiated a deed of contract with his uncle for the lot only until we were ready to build. We did a lot of work to the property that fall, there was an old foundation where our house sits now, a chain link fence, lots more trees, etc. I don't have a picture from before we started working on the lot. Well after we got engaged, it was time to start the house. 2008 was a busy year, planning a wedding and building a house... we started the house mid-spring and moved into it Oct. 31st. Although we didn't officially own it until almost a year later. That is another story that I would really rather forget. Mr. C works construction so he did as much as he could do to help us out. Some people say they hate building and others love it, and I am one of those that love it!!! I had so much fun & won't do it any other way.

We love living on 3 1/2 acres and being able to see various wildlife out our back door and the convience of still only being 5 minutes from town.

Lil miss beautiful turned 2 on april 6th! We helped her celebrate this weekend! Dora was the theme of her party this year, it was a beautiful day and she had lots of family and friends there to help here celebrate!

Forever and for always

Mr. C and I met in 2003. we dated long distance until I graduated college and then we were finally living in the same county in 2005. In May of 2006 I moved into the basement house he was renting from his grandma. We both knew that we would eventually get married but we wanted to make sure we were both ready before we headed down that road. On December 8 2007 we had taken a drive out to our property and were just chilling out at home. We were joking around and we commented on how much we love each other and that we'll be together forever and for always, pinky promise? We'll Mr. C didn't pinky promise so I was like well fine... He left the room and came back with a diamond ring on his pinky and said i promise, will you marry me? I was in shock with exicitement, of course i said YES!!! We had gone to dinner for my mom's birthday a few nights before this and he had the ring on him that night and asked my dad in the men's restroom right before we left the restaurant. He was planning on waiting until the following weekend because we had plans to go to his Grandma's cabin for our birthdays. But he told me he couldn't wait and the right opportunity just came up. I kinda knew that he had bought a ring but I was trying my best not to snope to much so that i could be surprised. we hadn't looked at rings, i had mentioned to him the type of cut that I like but otherwise he picked out the ring all by himself and I love it. He did better than what I expected. I could not be more happy with how our proposal happend.

Neice & nephews, that is.. Much like the year of weddings, we had a year of pregancies!!

The first nephew is hubs sissy, he was born on August 25, 2007.


Next hubs brother had our little neice on April 6, 2008. Hubs calls her lil miss beautiful and that is exactly what she is! Here he is with her!


Then just a few months later, my sista had our second nephew on June 17, 2008.


They are all so adorable and precious and hubs and I have had the pleasure of being aunts and uncles!

Bridesmaid for a year

Man oh man, what a year. From October 2006 to October 2007
hubs and I were in 6 different weddings.
It all began with my cousin's. I was a candlelighter.
Here is a picture of the entire wedding party.














Then the following weekend, the hubs sister got married.

Then it was off to Rivera Mya Mexico for our
good friend's wedding. We were both in this wedding,
but hubs wasn't able to join us in Mexico.

Their ceremony was a combination Jewish-Cathloic,
so it was really neat to be a part of.
