The K Man turns 3

Happy Birthday K! It's hard to believe that it has been 3 years already since we welcomed you into the world. We celebrated with you this past weekend at your party at the park.

A quiet evening at home

is how we were planning on celebrating our anniversay, however that is not exactly what happened. After our busy weekend out of town, we just were going to make dinner together and enjoy a relaxing evening at home. On our 1 year anniversay we had been to a bachlor & bachlorette parties the night before so we spent the day recovering and relaxing together and just made dinner together and ate our cake. Mr. C and J were giving a pitching lesson to one of Mr. C's coworkers sons which was supposed to only take a lil while, well it ended up taking way longer than expected and so we ended up only getting to spend about an hour together before we headed to bed, hoping next year's anniversay will be better.

4-H Hall of Fame

My family has been involved with 4-H for more years than i could even begin to try and count. My grandparents involved their children and my mom and dad have involved their children. On August 15th, my mom and dad were inducted into the MO 4-H Hall of Fame at the State Fair. This is one of the top honors that you can be awarded for volunteering and support the 4-H foundation. Each county has the opportunity to nominate someone or a family to be inducted. This year, our county chose my parents for their continuous support and leadership of the 4-H program. Way to go mom & dad!! Since we were traveling to the State Fair and Mr. C's sister & step dad live close to where the state fair is held, we made a weekend of it. We arrived late on Firday night and visited for a little while. Saturday morning we drove around looking at places Mr. C vaguly remembered from his childhood and then spent the rest of the day and evening at the State Fair with them. Sunday we visited with them until my family got to the state fair and then we met up with them and attended the ceremony. Glad we got to visit and spend time with family.

25 weeks

Just a quick update from my 25 week appointment. I weighed in at 139, blood pressure was 132/66 and fetal heart rate was 160.
Questions I asked:
When should I have a peditrician decided on & do you have any recommendations?
A: By 30 weeks, none out in my area but suggested asking family and friends.
How important is it to attend a baby class?
A. She recommended attending the child birth and an infant care class.
When should I register with the hospital.
A. By 30 weeks
I scheduled my next appointment which will be the fun gluscose test... not looking forward to that one.

Trout fishing

This weekend we went fishing and floating with Mr. C's family. We went to a state park known for its trout fishing. Mr. C had never been trout fishing so he was really exicited for multiple reasons, not only to try a different type of fishing but also because he got to fish with his dad who does not fish that often. the rest of the family went for Thursday-Sunday, but we worked on Friday and headed down after that. We got there and joined everyone around the bonfire, relaxed, shared stories and decided on the fishing plan for the morning. Mr. C and his dad got up early and went and found their spots in the stream. They fished for a few hours and then came and met up with us ladies. It wasn't the best fishing morning, Mr. C didn't catch any and his dad caught 2. So they were talking about how to change things up for the evening fish. We all then went on a float trip, which was fun and relaxing. when we got back from the flaot the boys had about an hour to fish and then we all went to dinner and called it a night. The next morning was a better fishing morning, between him and his dad they caught 8 fish! which was the limit for the day. It was a wonderful weekend spent with family and enjoying the great outdoors!

Welcome to the world lil miss B

On wednesday august 4th, J called Mr. C and told him they were at the hospital and lil miss B should be here around 6:00AM the next morning, so stay close to the phone. Well around 2:00, Mr. C gets a text from J saying that she has arrived!!! We both went to work that day and then after work we headed up to see her. When we arrived, Sissy, D & K were there and lil miss beautiful. They were all doing wonderfully. It was a great visit and we were glad that it was just was and not a lot of other visitors. Lil miss beautiful is going to be a great big sis, she was already helping out a lot. So happy to welcome her to our family on August 5, 2010.
