Lollipop Onsie

So i have 3 baby showers in the next 3 weekends. I have been trying to be practical yet creative with my presents. This time i am giving lollipop onsies and onsie cupcakes for my presents. I was really pleased with how the lollipop's turned out and not so pleased with how the cupcakes turned out. I have done them before and after doing them again i remembered why i didn't keep the directions.

For the lollipop onsies i got Mizzou onsies for one shower and Cardinal onsies for the other shower and used sippie cups and spoons to complete the bouquet.

Baby B Reveal Party

Our good friends MB & JB are expecting this first baby and she is due on my birthday! They announced it by giving us a photo card that had pictures with their announcement on May 22, although i had found out/heard a rumor the week before that they were pregnant, but didn't want to say anything to her until she was ready to tell me. So today was their baby reveal party as they had the big 20 week ultra sound on Thursday. MB did all the plans herself, i was quite impressed as usually her sis helps her. Some of the decorations in their garage.

It was cute, we all had to pick what we thought. boy or girl and either wear a bow or hold a blue mustache. She had a professional photographer coming to take pictures and then we headed to the M Farm to find out and take pictures! The M Farm is where we had our wedding pictures taken. JB knew since Thursday and was the one who put the balloons in the box. 

It's a BOY!!! Mr. C ran and grabbed a balloon for Lil Miss C, although he was not supposed to take them off the box.   

I was hoping they would have a girl since Littlest C is going to just be 9 months older than their baby and MB is 6 months older than me and we have been friends since we were youngsters. But MB was hoping for a boy and i think was shocked and overjoyed when she found out that's what she is going to have. 

Congrats MB&JB!!! We are so happy for them!

6 week postpartum

Today was my 6 week postpartum appointment. Although i was actually at 7 weeks since my doc was out of town last week.

weight 140....ugh, i hate getting on the scale, it seemed like the weight came off way easier with Lil Miss C as compared to with Littlest C.

After my appointment we stopped by and visited at work, it was a pleasant visit and good to introduce everyone to Littlest C.

2 week follow up dr apt

Today was my 2 week follow up appointment. My weight: 138, everything looked good and the dr will see me at 6 week apt.

Littlest C's Arrival

The 3 of us arrived at the hospital a little after 7:00 AM, we were a little early so we went to the cafeteria so that Mr. C and Lil Miss C could eat some breakfast. After they got done eating we headed up to Labor & Delivery and got checked in. Immediately i got into the hospital gown, answered a bunch of questions, they started an iv and fluids. By 8:30 AM, my parents had arrived as they were going to be watching Lil Miss C for us. Mr. C and I were headed to the OR by 9:00 AM. Once on the table, they started my spinal epidural. I sat there holding Mr. C's hand until they told me to go ahead and lay down. Just as my doc asked me if i could feel anything an emergency c-section needed to be done and all of the nurses and my doctors had to go and perform this c-section. 2 nurses stayed with Mr. C and I as i laid on the operating table for nearly 3 hours. Luckily the nurses that we had were great and friendly as they helped make the time go by faster. Finally my doc came back in and they began preparing again for my c-section. The nurses kept referring to littlest C as wild and once they cut me open they realized that she was breached and that she must have flipped at some point throughout the morning. Littlest C arrived at 11:03 AM on 4/29/13, weighing 7 lbs 4 oz; 19 1/4 inches. Mr. C cut the cord and they brought her to me to see. We were back in the recovery room by 12:07 PM. I was able to carry Littlest C in my arms back to the room and watch them give her first bath. I am so glad that i was able to see this as i missed getting to see this with Little Miss C as they did it in the nursery. Mr. C and Lil Miss C gave Littlest C her first bottle around 1:00 PM. We were in the recovery room for about 2 hours before moving into our room. I was not able to eat anything but ice chips until 3:30 PM. Visitors we had on April 29th were my mom & dad, CJ, Lil Miss C, J, Kbug, Mr. C's step mom, Sissy KoBo & JoKo. The IV and catheter were taken out at 6:00 AM on April 30th. I was able to get out of bed and take a shower and start moving around. Mr. C handled all of the diapers on the first day. We sent her to the nursery both evenings. Visitors we had on April 30th were B DMan, LFrog, Mr. C's step mom who brought Lil Miss C and Grandma H. My doc came and checked on me around 8:00 AM on May 1st and released me to go home that afternoon as long as Mr. C was going to be at home with me. To say we were excited to get to go home this early is an understatement! After we got my dr's release, we had to get Littlest C's release and a screening done. After lunch we were all set and ready to leave. I was to call and make a 2 week follow up apt for me, call for Littlest C's 2 week appointment and was given orders to follow at home. Once we arrived home my mom picked up Lil Miss C from her sitters and brought us dinner home. Mr. C's dad, step-mom, KoBo & JoKo also came over that evening to visit.

A gift from my staff

Today at work my staff through me a little shower. They got me some daises, a gift card to Target, an outfit and a present for Lil Miss C to play with at the hospital.

A Surprise Diapers & Desserts Party

Today I thought i was going to go to the spa with my sister in law H, but instead she surprised me with a Diapers & Desserts Party. It was extremely thoughtful and nice. We are stocked up now with plenty of diapers and wipes!! I have such an amazing family!

After the party was over, H, CJ & I went and got pedicures since the boys had the girls fishing! It was relaxing and much needed.

Pain in left side when i cough & deep breaths. I still feel like my ears are clogged, taking cold medicine.

At today's appointment i was so thankful to have heard littlest C's heartbeat. My cousin who was due just a few weeks before i am due lost her baby yesterday. While i am praying for them and their loss i am also praying for my baby and a safe remaining 6 weeks.

20 weeks

Today was my 20 week appointment and the big ultrasound, and Mr. C's birthday!!! I weighed 136 lbs, blood pressure was 110/60 and littlest C's heart rate was 162. The ultrasound looked wonderful and our baby girl is growing just as she should be.

I wanted to do something creative to announce what we are having this time instead of just calling everyone, so since our Dr's apt was on Mr. C's birthday, we invited everyone to dinner and i got lil Miss C a big sister shirt and got a lil brother and lil sister onsie, so she can open it after dinner and let everyone know what we are having.

16 weeks

Today was my 16 week appointment. I weighed in at 136, blood pressure was 122/64 and littlest C's heart rate was 140.

12 weeks

Littlest C's heart rate was 160, my blood pressure was 118/68 and weight was 132 lbs. Dr is pleased with how things are sounding and looking. We have told most of our family,  friends, and work. But now it's time to share with everyone our news!
