C Country Craze

Yesterday was our annual C Country Craze. This year we moved the kiddos C Country Craze to the morning. We invited about 30 of our family and friends with kiddos and we had about 20 kids make it. We got their hayride started around 10:00AM.

But first Mr. C handed out stickers to each of them, explaining that they would need to hold onto their sticker until we got to the pumpkin patch and they would find the pumpkin with the matching sticker on it.

After everyone left about 1:00PM, we put the girls down for their naps and relaxed for a little bit ourselves and then finished preparing for the evening festivities. My mom came and picked up the girls around 5:00P. She watched them for us overnight and had a blast with them spoiling them with a hotel with a spa bath tub for the night. 

Everyone started showing up around 6ish... 

We had a smaller crowd for the evening this year, but everyone still had a great time. We only took one hay wagon out for the evening ride. 

We had a beautiful day with excellent weather this year!

C Country Craze

Yesterday was our annual C Country Craze! The tractor all set and ready in the afternoon for the evening's festivities.

Then the weather turned...and it was no longer the perfect evening for a hayride...yep that's right, it rained and rained and kept raining. We still had a crazy fun evening and took a short hayride in between rain showers. After several attempts at lighting the bonfire the boys gave up and we still have a huge bonfire to light. 

C Country Craze

We had a beautiful day for our annual hayride and bonfire. It was a little warm in the afternoon, but by the time evening rolled around it was just perfect for gathering around the fire.

This year our pumpkin patch failed to grow due to the drought we went through in later summer, so we only got a few some pumpkins, so we had to cancel the kids hayride and pumpkin picking.

We borrowed bmy Dad's tractor this year and here it is ready for the ride with the 2 wagons.

The group on the 2nd hay wagon, Mr. C drove the tractor so I did not get as good of pictures of the group of the hayrides as last year.

It was a wonderful evening filled with fun and good friends.

2nd Annual C Country Craze

Mr. C and I love the fall, we love Halloween, we love gardening, it is one of our favorite times of year. Since the first year Mr. C and I started dating we have visited a pumpkin patch and carved our jack-o-lanterns. When we found our property and moved into our house we decided that each fall we would host a party at our house. We would grow pumpkins and have them ready for the kiddos to pick and our families to display at their homes throughout October. In 2008 we just had Mr. C's family over on a Sunday afternoon, fried fish and picked pumpkins. In 2009 we named our event the C Country Craze and had both our families over in the afternoon, made chili, did a hayride and let them pick pumpkins, and then we had an adult hayride and bonfire that evening. Each year it just keeps getting better and better! We added another hay wagon this year since last year we were not able to fit everyone on the adult hayride. We also moved where we planted our pumpkins and planted more of them, so we actually had to take a hayride to get to the pumpkins!
