for Mr. C's bestie's 30th birthday party. We joined our friends and his family for the surprise celebration at a Mexican restaurant. We got to visit with a lot of friends & had a fun time helping him celebrate his 30th birthday!

Pink out the gym

was the theme for the evening as my highschool hosted a 10 year renunion for the 2001 State Basketball Champs! It was quite a night, all of the team members, staticians, managers, video, cheerleaders, coaching staff, school board members were invited back to a basketball game on February 11 & to walk down memory lane. The school did an amazing job, they had a hospitatily room full with pictures, newspaper clippings from the season, etc. All the team players & coaching staff were there & only a few of the staticians, & managers were there. The community support that surrounded us went we went to the final four & they support 10 years later is just amazing. I had so much fun traveling with the team & recording the games...yep I was the video girl. I can not even put into words the emotions from 10 years ago when i watched this group of girls claim the state title. I am glad that I went back for the renunion, visited with old classmates, & coaches. Thanks to the school for organizing this event.

We really don't celebrate

Valentine's day at our house, we have no special traditions that we do each year, rarely have we gotten each other a present, not even a card, or a box of candy. So this year we did't have any special plans, just making dinner at home...we got steaks out on Sunday, but they didn't thaw out in time so we ended up have steaks, salad & cheesy rice for dinner with Fat Man's delight for dessert! The tow truck was finally able to make it down our hill to pick up my car and arond 5:00pm the dealership called and it was ready so we went & picked it up, luckily there was just something that got lose in the key iginition cylinder so all we had to pay for was labor. Great Grandma C had gotten a first valentine's day bib for lil miss, so we did an at home photo shoot yesterday!

When Mr. C arrived home from work, he surprised me with flowers. Lillies & daises! A wonderful surprise, they look & smell wonderful, can't wait for the lillies to open up!

I really can't go anywhere now...

because my car won't start again.... That's right, yesterday me and lil miss were going to brave the cold weather and try to make it up the icy hill and go do a lil shopping at the mall before meeting CM for dinner. Well i have everything loaded in the car except lil miss and go to start it to warm it up before we leave and it won't start. So i call Mr. C who was waiting in his 4wheel drive truck at the top of the hill to make sure he didn't need to pull me up it, he comes back down, we try to jump it, still nothing, leave the battery charger on it all night & still nothing, so now today we have talked to a family friend who works at a dealership and we are getting it towed there. Luckily we have AAA so we won't have to pay for the tow & i am just hoping that it is something not super expensive to fix. Hopefully it is just the igintion switch (which we have replaced twice now) and not a starter like my father in law thinks it could be. I really need a new car but i really really need this one to last us a few more years because we can not afford another vehicle payment right now.....ugh....

L.J. is 30! But some things never change

was the title on the invitation to a surprise fish fry for Mr. C's friend/boss/coworker with a picture of him as a child on a red international peddle tractor and a picture of him as a grown man on a green john deer garden tractor. Last Saturday we went to the fish fry for the evening. It was an evening filled with good friendship, good food & a few good games of darts & spoons--neither of which me or Mr. C won at.

2 months

Well lil miss you are now 2 months old! I am going to try to write to you once a month so that I remember how much you have grown and changed from month to month. I am sorry things were so busy & crazy from the holidays at your 1 month that i did not write to you. You had your 2 month checkup yesterday and you are growing wonderfully. You are up to 11 pounds, 23 inches and your head circumference is 15. You got your shots and you did okay, your face got really really red and you screamed for a few minutes but then you calmed down and was asleep before we left the doctor's office. You then slept pretty much for the rest of the day. Mom spoiled you this afternoon and let you cuddle & sleep in her arms which we rarely let happen. You are eating between 4-6 ounes every 3-4 hours. The doc said that you should be lasting 4 hours between feedins so we are going to try to see how we do with that. You love to talk, whenever you are awake you are cooing, aweing and making tons of noise and smiling! You follow us with your eyes so well now, you are so wiggly with everything you do, its no wonder that you have already mastered rolling from your tummy to your back. We really don't have much of a routine, after you eat, you usually play for an 1-2 and then take a nap from anywhere from an hour to two hours and right now we let you nap anywhere, sometimes its on the bed in the office bedroom or on your blanket in the living room or in your swing or bouncer or sometimes in your car seat if we have been traveling. So our days are always changing & are never the same yet. At night we have been giving you a bath every other night and then you get a bottle and are put in your crib at 8:00pm (or pretty close to that). You have been putting yourself to sleep in your crib since we brought you home, and you rarely cry yourself to sleep. Last week you started sleeping through the night for us, so we are hoping that continues to go so well.

Luckily the snow held off

last week for me & lil miss to make the trip to see my lil sis CJ. She moved just an hour & a half away from us last May and I had still yet to go and visit with her especially since in August she moved into her own duplex. So last week the weather held out for us and me & lil miss C spent Monday night & Tuesday night visiting with her. It was a nice visit, she cooked us dinner on Monday evening, Tuesday we went shopping out to a late/lunch early dinner and then watched girly movies at her place. She now lives where I went to college so as a bonsus I also visited some old coworkers on Wednesday morning before I headed home. Besides the night Mr. C spent away from lil miss C when he was plowing snow, this was the first night he has been at home without her, needless to say he was more than happy to have us back home on Wednesday.
