15 months

Lil Miss C had her 15 month check up today. She is growing good, weighing in at 20 pounds, 12 ounces and is 30 1/4 inches tall.

Whew....what a week it has been

I have been out of town at a work conference all week. I really enjoyed the conference, learning and networking, but it was also very stressfull being out of town this week because our truck was in the shop getting fixed and I had to figure out how get money from our savings account at my small home town bank so that Mr. C could pay for the truck and pick it up. Let me tell you, it's no fun when his name is not on the account, i don't have access to a fax line to fax a form saying he could withdraw money, they are only open from 9A-3P.....ugh.....needless to say i am thank ful that my mom is still on the account and she was free during the day to go and withdraw the money and take it to Mr. C. Now i just need to add him to that account so we don't have to hassle with it in the future.

We spent the weekend relaxing.

Bogity Bogity Bogity....Let's go racing boys!

Today was the Daytona 500 to start off the 2012 Nascar racing season. Or at least it was supposed to be. Needless to say, it got rained out, and will be on tomorrow. It was a beautiful day, so instead of bbqing and watching the race, we bbqed, played outside, went on a hayride and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the company of friends and family. Disappointed that i won't be able to completley watch and enjoy of the race tomorrow when it is one, but it was was wonderful day none the less.

Roadside assistance

Thank goodness for it! After our dentist appointment Mr. C was accerlating and merging onto a busy interstate and then there was nothing....The truck just died and wouldn't start. Luckily a few years ago we decided to get AAA and i am so glad we spend the extra money for it. We have gotten our money's worth out of it. As Mr. C was trying to get the truck to start, i was busy calling them to have them send a tow truck. after about 45 minutes, we had the truck loaded on the tow truck, and the 3 of us loaded in Mr. C's dad's truck and headed to the garage. Now we keep our fingers crossed that it is an inexpensive fix...

The power of prayer

Mr. C's cousin Ash, has been in the hospital since the end of January. She had a pretty extensive surgey to remove an abcesses cyst on her ovary and to battle a massive infection that has gotten in to her system as a result. I went and visited with AK & UB on Feb 7th, Mr. C was sick with puenemoia, and Lil Miss C was battling a bad cold, so i went by myself. She was still in intensive care and had undergone 4 surgeries. We were all healthy and able to go and visit her today. We were hoping to actually be able to visit with her, but she had her 9th surgery yesterday and did not get much sleep and was needing to rest, so we were able to visit with AK & UB. She is slowly getting better, on Friday they were able to partially close her abdomon, hoping to get it closed early in the week. She still has a long road ahead of her, and we are still praying for her recovery. She is one extremely stong woman to overcome this super germ that attacked her abdomon.

After we got done visiting with them, we stopped by Bass Pro Shops, Mr. C mad a few purchases and then headed to another hospital to visit with Grandma C. She has been in the hospital since last Sunday, we visited her on Thursday night, and came back for another visit. Praying for her recovery as well.

Chocolate Party

This afternoon my sis B had a Chocolate Party. We got to taste lots of yummy goodness....just in time right before Valentine's Day....then on my way home i got my first speeding ticket....errrrrr, talk about a way to kill my chocolate high. Now i have to deal with the headache of getting the ticket taken care off. Sometimes being an adult is no fun. Needless to say, i was thinking about ordering some things, but now will not be.

Whew....what a morning. 6 hogs processessed and packaged done before 11AM!
