21 weeks

July 12th was our last appointment. We were at 21 weeks and had our big ultrasound scheduled right before our regular appointment, although not at my doctors office but at another office in at the hospitals campus. Mr. C was able to take off work early and go to the appointment with me. we had a student who performed the ultrasound and then the tech came and finished and took more pictures that the student couldn't get. It amazed me at how much movement was going on inside my belly because besides a few times i really hadn't felt the baby move much yet and i was shocked at how much it was moving. Everything look wonderful & healthy at this point so that was a major relief!! we then headed over to my doctors office for my appointment. After waiting for much longer than we were supposed to or needed to our doctor finally came in. Weight, blood pressure and fetal heart rate were all good and this time she measured my belly. Besides the waiting the appointment went great and now we are able to tell everyone that lil C is a lil girl!!

Shh...it's a surprise

This is the year of 30s fo us... lots of 30th bday celebrations that is! Sissy's bday was in June but due to their crazy busy schedule, D wasn't able to throw her a party until this past weekend. She knew us girls were going to dinner and then out for the evening but that was all she knew.

After dinner we blind folded her, which she was not happy about at all and was not very coporative with us trying to surprise her. Finally we were able to get her blindfolded and headed to the hall for the surprise party... She walked in, took off the blind fold and walked right back outside to the car. She does not like surprises and need to gather herself before coming into the party, the rest of the night was a balst and everyone had a great time. D did an excellent job of planning the party!

4th of July Festivities

We had a fun filled busy weekend for the 4th of July. We went up to the cabin Friday night-Sunday morning. We took the boat out on Saturday and had a blast with our family and friends. Saturday night after eating bbq, our neighbors at the cabin had a huge fireworks display so we went and watched those. On Sunday we visited and left the cabin around noon, i had to be at work at 3:30 so we couldn't stay the whole weekend. So after I worked Mr. C & I watched fireworks and headed home. On Monday since we both had off for the holiday, we worked in our garden and man did it need it. we made some tomato cages and weeded, picked & canned green beans. We picked 2 5 gallon buckets full of green beans, so we had enough for 2 canners full!! A total of 14 quarts! We took a break from the heat before we started snapping beans & canning and took the dogs to the creek for a little swim.

Tatoo #2

Not for me, but for my friend. A few weeks ago on her birthday, she was planning a getting another tatoo along with her sister. they had talked about doing something small on their foot. The tatoo artist is her sisters brother in law, so he brought his stuff to her house, so I went over to celebrate her birthday with her and watch. when she was looking for ideas on what she wanted, she liked the idea of a cross with angel wings around it and decided she wanted it on her back. Needless to say what we thought was only going to be a couple of hours and then we would go to the bar to meet some friends, ended up being 6 hours of him doing the tatoo. There was a few of us ladies that were watching her get it done, and after 3 hours they left and went to meet her other friends at the bar. I stayed with her until she was done and then i took her up to the bar.

Annual C Family Float Trip

So June 11-13th was the C Family Annual Float trip. It was a beautiful weekend to be floating on the river. Each year my brother plans it and he likes to go to a different river each year. We were supposed to do a 14 mile float, but the water levels were low and we could only do a 4 mile float instead, so we stopped and played in the water alot to stay the whole day on the water. This was the first year lil D went with us and he did great for being 2 and floating all day.

We had a lot of fun, great company, great weather and good food! The best was the home made ice cream and dutch oven peach cobbler!! It was so delicious, i even had seconds. On our way home, CJ, B&B&lilD and Mr. C & I stopped by Johnston ShutIns. Us girls hadn't been there since we were little and we were so close we wanted to see how things had changed since it reopened. It was really neat and we had a blast and cooled off swiming for a while before our drive home.

Lil D turns 2

Lil D turned 2 on June 17th, so on Friday night the 18th we all headed over to B&B's for some swimming, bbq, cake & ice cream. We got there early and enjoyed swimming in the pool before everyone else arrived, especially since it was so hot. Lil D is a good swimmer for being 2 and we had a blast playing in the pool with him!

17 weeks

I had a doctor's appointment this week. So as I mentioned in my 13 week post, my doctor has started her own practice. She has too offices and I didn't really like the office I went to at the last appointment so I decided to go to the other office for this appoinment. I like this office much better and I think my doc does too. However the office is still working out all the kinks, which is understandable but still a pain in the arse. My appointment was at 11:15, i arrived at 11:11 and there were 4-5 ladies in the office waiting when i arrived, but my doc is not the only doc in the office. I proceeded to wait for about an hour until I finally got called back at 12:15ish and was done with my appointment by 12:35. So after the long wait, and short appointment here is where I am at for 17 weeks. weight: 133, Blood Pressure: 128/72, Fetal Heart Rate: 150. Doc said I was looking great and that lil C's heartbeat sounded great! we opted not to do the tests that we could have done at this appointment. We did not schedule my next appoinment as she is waiting to see when their ultrasound machine will arrive, so that she can schedule our appointment and the big ultrasound for the same time in 4 weeks! I am trying so hard to be paitent and not pay to go to a private ultrasound technician since I know that you can find out the sex as early as 16 weeks, only a few more weeks though and hopefully they will go by fast.
