Family Renunions

after visiting and enjoying brunch with our family for Lil Miss C's baptism, we headed to our local state park for one of Mr. C's family renunions. We visited with family and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon.

Lil miss with her 3rd cousin, i do believe, he is mr. C's cousin's son.

Lil miss C's baptism

Well we finally did it, only 6 months after you were born we baptised you. We chose J & B to be your godparents. With the exception of it being nap time throughout the entire cemony, you didn't do to bad. A special note is that your Grandma (my mom) made your baptismal gown.

After the ceremony we had everyone over for brunch and snaped some pictures on our deck.

Lfrog's Baptism

after CM's shower, I headed home to pick up Mr. C to head to the church for Lfrog's baptism. B&B had asked us along with my sister CJ to be his godparents.

CJ is holding his baptismal candle after the priest had light it from the Easter candle.

After the ceremony we snapped a few pictures of the G Family and Lfrog's godparents.





Lfrog was baptised in the B Family baptismal gown that i do believe has been around for close too if not more than 100 years. All of us in the picture below were baptised in the gown.

We enjoyed diner at B&B's and tried to take a family picture and below is about as successful as we were.

A beautiful end to a beautifully busy day.

was the theme for my friend CM's baby shower. I helped out by preparing the deserts for the festivities!

I spent last night making monkey cupcakes,

chocolate covered bananas and monkey bread!

The shower was today at noon, so i arrived a little early to help prepare the rest of the food and decorate!

We had quite the spread for 15-20 people, the food was so yummy!! The picture does not do it justice.

After some appetizers before the main meal, C & J opened their presents. They are expecting a lil boy in September and decorating with monkies!

One present she received had this cute mokey and banana on top of it...come to find out that they lady who gave it to them, crocheted it all herself, talk about a precious present.

I wish them both the best of luck and can't wait till the lil man gets here!! I just hope i get to see him before he gets to big since they moved to another state. 

A time for Granny

today me, lil miss, my sister & her 2 boys, my sister JR and my mom went and visited Granny. The was the first time that Granny was getting to meet Lfrog! We had a pleasant visit. We went up to her room on the 3rd floor and stayed in her room for a while and then after DMan started to get antsy we went and sat outside on the patio. After visiting for a while, the kiddos were starting to get cranky as it was nap time so we said our good-byes, but not before snapping some pictures with Great Granny.

It sure is hard to get a good picture with 3 kiddos and a granny!

Matching Mulch

is what lil miss C & I got Mr. C for Father's Day. I had to work this weekend, but I had Thursday and Friday off since lil miss C's sitter was on vacation. So on Friday afternoon after Mr. C got off work, he picked up the dump trailer and we met him at ARS.

We got 2 yards of mulch.

While lil miss was taking her afternoon nap, Mr. C and I got busy in the yard. We mulched the front flower garden.

Then we went around the community well & electric meter.

We then got most of all the trees in the backyard, we really could have used another yard, but we will save that for another time. It already looks so much better!!! After we got done, me and lil miss got ready and headed to H & J's house for a mommy's spa night. Saturday after I got off work we bbq'd at our house with J, H, KBug & BBop. Then Sunday, Sissy watched lil miss C for us so Mr. C could go golfing with his dad and the boys, then after I got off work, we relaxed at home.
