Fair Daze

This week was the LC Fair. As always a busy fun-filled week of volunteering and enjoying the fair.

Mr. C's boss is running for State Rep, so Lil Miss C and Mr. C were in the parade.

Fair Daze

Our county fair was this past week. To say that it was busy is a understatement. Monday evening i was there until almost 10:00P, helping load in pigs. Tuesday started bright and early like usual with being there at 5:30A to start weighing pigs in, then heading to the Extension Center to make the back tags, home for a quick shower and to pick up Mr. C, then back to the fair for the show. Thank goodness for my mom, otherwise i wouldn't be able to help and volunteer this week as much as i have been able to. My mom came and spent the night after she worked on Monday evening so that she could take Lil Miss C to the sitter and watch Littlest C for me since i can not drop off until 6:30A and we aren't taking Littlest C there yet.  Wednesday we headed to the fair with the girls after Mr. C got off work. We grabbed a bite to eat and found out seats in the bleachers for the Antique Tractor & Truck pulls. The girls and i were able to watch for a lil bit, but then it got to load and we left and ventured down to the rides.

It is really hard to snap good pictures of Lil Miss C riding rides, so these were the best i had. We only had one time that she took off from me to go ride another ride and luckily it was when we were with some friends so they were able to watch Littlest C while i chased after Lil Miss C and reminded her not to take of but to wait for mommy. 

Thursday evening is always a late night, as it is Auction night. This year was no different, didn't get home until 3:00A. Again thank goodness for my mom watching the girls for us. 

Friday evening is our fun night for the Big Truck and Tractor Pull. My mom watched the girls for us, and CJ was home and was our driver for the evening. It's always a fun evening and this year we sat with some friends that we haven't visited with in a while and found out that they are expecting!!! We also talked with our friend GH who's daughter Vi is just 4 months older than Lil Miss C and they have an extra turtle for the races in the morning. So we decided that we would come in the morning with the girls for the turtle races.

and we ended up with 3rd place! 

After the turtle races we grabbed some lunch and rode a few rides and headed home for some naps and yard work before returning that evening for the demo derby. After the demo derby was over we took Lil Miss C to ride the rides and play some games. 

Our Lil Miss Adventurer just had to ride the swings... She had a blast and it was so fun to watch her. 

Until next year, this year is in the books. 

10 years since our first "ride"

It is hard to believe at times that it has been 10 years since we took that first ride together at the county fair. Here's to the next 10 and so many more after that! Love you so much, babe.

Fair Parade

This afternoon we went to watch the parade. I was sitting with Lil Miss C helping her get candy, so i didn't have the chance to get any pictures. Next year we will have to sit somewhere else if Mr. C goes with me, cause where we sit my parents have sat there forever but the parade has changed routes and it is at the beginning of the parade on the corner so we don't get much candy. No big deal for this year, but next year i am sure will be a different story.

After the parade we were playing outside and Mr. C found a snake in the barn. He had to show Lil Miss C! She was super interested in it and wanted to touch it.

She did amazing at touching it!

Now onto the busy week ahead!

This weekend was the pig weigh in for the County Fair. A busy weekend spent weighing in and tagging pigs!

Fun at the Fair

This past week as been our annual county fair. I volunteer working with the livestock committee and work at the fair on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's. This year we took lil Miss C with us on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Friday night is Mr. C's & mine fun night at the fair.

Saturday evening was the concert, Lil Miss loves to dances and she truely enjoyed being back stage, dancing a having a ball. 

My dad has volunteered at the fair for a number of years, don't even know how many really. But this year he was honored with being "Friend of the Fair". He received a plaque at the concert and also rode in the parade. Since he was getting this award we got to hang out backstage with him all evening.

On Sunday, since JR was leaving to head back to her home, we had a fish fry out at the farm. Lil miss enjoying Grandpa's Kaboata 

Happy St. Patty's Day

Yesterday on St. Patty's Day I had the pig weigh in for the county fair. After i got home and cleaned up from helping. We headed out to our friends to celebrate his birthday. Mr. C shot some clay birds with him and we enjoyed some good food and company. We did not stay late as Lil Miss C was with us and we headed home once she started to get tired. None the less it was a wonderful day and glad we got to spend some time with our friends MJ & JB.

Also mowed grass for the first time for the season this weekend....crazy early but it was been such an early warm spring so far.
