May Flowers

This weekend I worked from Friday evening through to Saturday morning at an event, after I got home, Mr. C, lil miss & our good friend N were working on the hacinda, I had to run some errands in town and decided that it was time to get lil miss's ears pierced. I have been wanting to do it for a few months, just hadn't gotten around to it. So I took her and it literally took me longer to get us out of the car than it did for her to get her ears pierced. She had a delayed reaction and cryed only for a few minutes, nothing worse than when she has gotten her shots..such a trooper!!!

Then on Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day. I went and treated myself to a pedicure and Mr. C & lil miss went and picked out some flowers for me!! It worked out that we both got back home around the same time. They had picked out 6 plants for us to start our landscaping bed around the rock. Mr. C did excellent, 2 each of a yellow hybrid lily, red day lily and moonbean---produces yellow starlike flowers.

After we went to my mom & dad's for some bbq, we came back and planted the flowers. Now we just need some mulch & eventually more plants!

After we got done planting and doing some other yardwork, we headed over to see Mr. C's parents for a short visit.

Whirlwind weekend

After getting done with my work event for the weekend, I met up with Mr. C, who had been helping to cut down some trees at DR all morning. We then headed to pick up lil miss from Sissy & D's house and headed to drop her off at the S's for the evening while we headed up the road for a joint bachlor/bachlorete party.

Then Sunday morning me and lil miss were up and ready for our 5K. We met up with my mil, Sissy, KoBo, H & KBug. We had our strollers and we all rocked it out!! It was a beautiful morning for the race & a wonderful time! After grocery shopping, we relaxed & bbqued with B. B & Dman.

Tidbits for this month:

You love to stand and you're trying to sit on your own soon. You're trying to crawl, you just haven't quite figured out how to move your arms & legs to move you forward, but you try so hard. You spin yourself in 360s.

You have figured out how to spit & blow bubbles & you love the sound this makes.

You have been teething, mommy can feel your front bottom tooth starting to come in.

You weigh 14 lbs, and we have taken you to the doctor for the first time for being sick. We went on April 25th, cause your cough was sounding aweful, we found out you had a double ear infection and some chest congestion & wheezing. We have medicine to give you for the ear infections and breathing treatments to do for the cough. The first breathing treatment at the dr's office as horrible. You screamed the whole time, and mommy fought back tears the whole time. Since then they have gotten better.

You are eating 8 ounces with each bottle and you have eaten cerel, apples, pears, sweat potatoes, and squash. You are doing okay with eating off the spoon, although you are so messy and you like to suck your fingers after each spoonful of food.

Eastertime

On Good Friday, we had some wicked weather roll through our area, luckily my family and friends suffered no damage from the storms and my thoughts and prayers go out to those who did have damage from them. We were enjoying the company of some friends and were able to capture the rainbow after the storms rolled through.

On Easter Saturday we headed to my mom's sister's house for lunch and an afternoon filled with family.

Then after we left my aunt's house, we headed to Mr. C's parents house. They had a Easter Egg Hunt for their grandkids before Mr. C's dad's family came over for the evening.

Bbop & lil miss just got to watch as KoBo & Kbug hunted all the eggs.

I am horrible as i did not snap any pictures on actual Easter, but we went to church with my family, ate brunch with them, then relaxed at home for a short while until we headed to the step-families for Easter dinner.

It was a wonderfully busy holiday!!! Happy Easter!! 

Tuesday travels

Today I had the day off from work, so lil miss stayed home with me. We had a fun filled morning of eating, playing & napping.

Then after her afternoon bottle we headed out and did a lil shopping and met a friend for dinner. It was a wonderful day despite the wicked weather we got when we were out shopping.

Happy Birthday lil miss beautiful

We celebrated Lil Miss Beautiful's 3rd birthday this past weekend. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed her celebration with good food and family.

After eating cake & ice cream and opening presents we headed over to Mr. C's parents for a bbq for the evening with family and friends.

Going to Granny's

Last week we went and visited with Granny. We went after lil miss's doctor's appointment and my mom, sis B & D met us there. We visited for almost 2 hours in the lobby, ate some cookies and had a good time.

Lil miss was in  wonderful mood. I was a little worried about how she would be since she had just gotten shots, but they didn't phase her one bit. She was all smiles, laughing and playing!!
