Happy 90th Birthday Grandma C!

Grandma C turned 90 on Friday July 27, 2012 and we celebrated with a party for her at Mr. C parents house yesterday.

After Grandma left, the family enjoyed each others company. It was great to see all of the family, cousins that Mr. C hadn't seen for a long time were in town and it was just a wonderful day and evening spent with family. 

Fun at the Fair

This past week as been our annual county fair. I volunteer working with the livestock committee and work at the fair on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's. This year we took lil Miss C with us on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Friday night is Mr. C's & mine fun night at the fair.

Aunt JR was in town and so she joined us riding the horses.

Saturday evening was the concert, Lil Miss loves to dances and she truely enjoyed being back stage, dancing a having a ball. 

My dad has volunteered at the fair for a number of years, don't even know how many really. But this year he was honored with being "Friend of the Fair". He received a plaque at the concert and also rode in the parade. Since he was getting this award we got to hang out backstage with him all evening.

On Sunday, since JR was leaving to head back to her home, we had a fish fry out at the farm. Lil miss enjoying Grandpa's Kaboata 

Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends swimming, bbqing, and watchin the fireworks at home. This was the first year in a number of years that i did not have to work on the holiday and it was a wonderful day! Happy 4th of July!

A weekend get-away

We had the opportunity to head to the lake this weekend and we enjoyed the cabin all to our self. CJ joined us for the weekend and we enjoyed boating, tubing, fireworks on the lake, meeting up on the water with MJ & JB.

It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend....that is until we got back to the cabin and were getting ready to leave on Sunday and we have a nasty note from Grandma H. Basically the note said that it cost her extra money to have extra people up there, she has someone who wants to use her tiller so we need to bring it to her house. Needless to say Mr. C & I were livid and extremely upset by this note. We always help at the cabin and make sure to clean up after ourselfves and yes we did not ask if it was okay to CJ join us for the weekend, but it was a late last minute decision on Friday evening. When we got back from the lake we went swimming at the parents pool and discussed the note with them.  We are going to give Grandma H money for using the cabin for the weekend and Mr. C was going to drop the tiller at her house on Monday and we are done with going to the cabin for a while. If we do go to the lake we will find another place to stay.

MJ's Dirty Thrity

Happy Birthday MJ!!! She now enters the 30+ club. We spent the afternoon celebrating playing volleyball and having a clay bird shoot. It was a fun afternoon and it was great to be able to celebrate MJ'sbirthday with her. Unfortuatley we didn't snap any pictures all day. :(

The Dune

At Dman's bday party, B's aunt asked if we would like a barbie car for Lil Miss C. She has one and she just did not have a battery or carger for it. So we went and looked at it and it was in good condition so we brought it home for Lil Miss C!

Nowe just have the get a battery and charger before she can take off in it.
